Vision that Matters

As we look to the future of College Station, we need leadership that honors our past, protects our present, and plans boldly for what’s ahead. That foundation is the Cepak Triple P: Public Safety, Partnerships, and Pursuing Responsible Growth.

These three pillars form the core of my campaign and the reason I’m running for City Council. I will equip our first responders, build strong partnerships that strengthen our community, and ensure explosive growth improves residents’ lives instead of harming them.

Public Safety

Our police and fire departments are among the best in Texas, accredited agencies that consistently rank at the top in performance. We must do more than just pay them competitively with neighboring cities. We need to equip them to do the job better, faster, and safer than ever before.

That means aggressively pursuing grants and implementing emerging technologies. Our first responders must know their leadership has their backs. I have built strong relationships with both departments and receive regular updates on their challenges and needs. My priority is keeping College Station’s public safety second to none.

Partnerships

I’ve been told more than once that people trying to open businesses in College Station hear, “It is a privilege to open a business here, not a right.” That attitude is completely wrong. Small businesses are the backbone of our community, and we must treat them as partners, not obstacles.

Our relationship with Texas A&M has produced progress, particularly on fire service agreements, but we must strengthen it further to successfully host major conferences and events like Banana Ball. We also need deeper collaboration with our neighbors in Bryan and Brazos County while preserving College Station’s distinct identity and values.

Over the past several years, I have deliberately built strong relationships across these groups. I will continue working to strengthen these partnerships for the benefit and success of every resident.

Pursuing Responsible Growth

Growth is here and accelerating, from potential projects like Terafab to new housing throughout the city. We cannot run from it, and we cannot afford to be unprepared. Many Texas cities are already suffering the consequences of poor planning.

We must act decisively: rapidly expand the use of Chapter 380 agreements to attract primary jobs, identify redevelopment areas, strategically develop and sell city-owned assets, and create clear pathways for managed expansion. This includes redeveloping or offloading underperforming properties like the former Macy’s site.
